EAC assessment: connect the scheme to actual evidence
Identify the applicable regulation and scheme before calling the work an audit.
Prepare for the assigned assessment
Identify the applicable regulation and scheme before calling the work an audit. Depending on the route, the required tasks may involve document assessment, product tests and production assessment. Do not promise a factory visit for every product or omit one where required.
Link samples and reports to model, specification, manufacturer and production site. Record findings against the relevant requirement and provide evidence of completed corrections. A proposed action or edited procedure does not prove that a failed test or production problem has been resolved.
Responsible preparation and decision
Conditional case: a submitted sample differs from the marketed model’s protective enclosure. Disclose the difference and ask the responsible participant whether new evidence is needed; do not relabel the report as covering the changed product.
Kayra can organize documents and coordinate questions. The responsible applicant, assessment body and laboratory retain their assigned duties. Kayra is not presented as an EAC issuer, regulator or accredited laboratory; preparation does not guarantee acceptance or a date.
