EAC renewal and surveillance: reassess scope and changes
Read the document, register status and applicable scheme before planning expiry or surveillance work.
Plan from the actual document and scheme
Read the document, register status and applicable scheme before planning expiry or surveillance work. Identify responsible applicant, covered models and factories, required ongoing tasks and changed regulations. Renewal is not a universal automatic extension, and a declaration should not be treated as a certificate with identical duties.
Maintain a change log for design, components, factory, supplier and responsible parties. Present relevant changes and actual production evidence to the responsible participants. Agree whether new tests, assessment or a new document route are needed instead of copying the old validity dates.
Responsible preparation and decision
Conditional case: production moved after the original assessment. Disclose the new site before renewal or surveillance planning; an unchanged product name does not prove unchanged manufacturing conditions. Do not invent a completed inspection or erase unresolved findings.
Kayra can organize documents and coordinate questions. The responsible applicant, assessment body and laboratory retain their assigned duties. Kayra is not presented as an EAC issuer, regulator or accredited laboratory; preparation does not guarantee acceptance or a date.
