Define the service you are buying
Compare consultancy, testing and certification as separate tasks. Ask who prepares the file, who performs required tests, who decides certification and who takes responsibility for a declaration. Match the proposed route to the actual product and regulation.
Request the assessment participant’s exact legal identity, relevant register entry and applicable scope. A consultant’s network or logo is not evidence of authority. Define deliverables, access to reports, third-party fees and responsibility for correcting missing information before contracting.
