SABER renewal: expiry, product changes and new shipments
Treat product expiry, changed models and each shipment as distinct review points.
Review before product expiry
Read the actual product certificate’s expiry and scope in SABER, then review changes in models, manufacturer, specifications, tests and applicable requirements with the accepted body. An unchanged file name does not prove unchanged conformity. Agree the evidence and request needed for continued coverage. Do not promise automatic renewal or a universal surveillance visit frequency for all products.
A new shipment needs its own evidence
A current product certificate does not eliminate the separate shipment request and approval for regulated goods. The official notice checked on 4 October 2026 extends shipment-certificate validity to 90 days; check the actual certificate rather than recycling it for another consignment. Kayra can track dates and organise updates. The importer submits accurate data and the accepted body retains its assessment and shipment-approval tasks.

Scope and decision verification
Kayra Patent supports requirement analysis, document preparation and process coordination. Conformity or certification decisions belong to the independent body or public authority authorised under the applicable law and programme.
