Machinery CE costs and timescale: quote the actual work
Build a machinery CE quotation from configuration review, tests, possible body involvement and the dependencies that can delay release.
Define the quotation boundary
The quotation should identify machine models and variants, intended use, installation, available drawings and the planned EU placement date. Distinguish a single machine from a coordinated line and partly completed machinery. These boundaries determine technical work more reliably than the number of employees.
Split scope review, risk-assessment support, testing, translation and any notified-body work into named deliverables. Identify exclusions such as guard redesign, control programming, site installation and repeat samples. No fixed official total fee or universal completion period is stated here.
Identify evidence gaps and dependencies
A hypothetical palletising machine is supplied with three speed ranges, but the existing stopping-time evidence covers only the lowest. First assess whether that evidence represents the worst case; additional verification and protective-distance review may change both cost and sequence.
Drawing availability, safe test access, prototype readiness and correction of findings are dependencies. A booked laboratory slot does not mean the production machine is ready. State which party provides samples and when engineering revisions must be frozen.
Budget changes without promising approval
The Directive’s actual Article 12 route, and the Regulation’s Article 25 route for supply from 20 January 2027, affect whether external assessment is required. Do not add a routine annual “CE renewal” charge without a relevant procedure or certificate condition.
Kayra’s quotation concerns agreed product preparation and coordination. Laboratory and notified-body charges should remain identifiable, and the manufacturer retains release responsibility. The schedule can be revised after evidence review; neither payment nor a target date guarantees conformity.

For “Machinery CE costs and timescale: quote the actual work”, share the machine function, current model and design revision, intended use, planned EU placement date and available risk or test records. Agreed product preparation work does not replace the manufacturer’s declaration or a legally required notified-body procedure.
