Verify UTO: check issuer, complete scope and current status for the supplied product
Verify a national technical approval with its issuing body and full scope. The Ministry’s appointment information concerns body authority; it does not by itself confirm the status of every product document.
Start with the full document and the issuing body
Collect the document reference, issuing body, holder, approved product and intended use, plus the annexes and restrictions that define its scope. Compare the supplied product with those details, not just a logo or first page. Obtain current status through the issuing body’s actual official verification or contact channel; this guide does not claim a universal public UTO-number database.
Ask about unclear scope or status using the actual reference and supplied configuration. Keep the response linked to the document checked and its date. An old scan, supplier statement or apparently recent issue date is not sufficient evidence of present status where amendment, withdrawal or suspension information is unresolved. Do not invent a current result when no official response has been obtained.
A genuine document can still concern a different model
Conditional example: a supplier sends an authentic approval for a thin panel variant, while the order specifies a thicker panel with changed joint geometry under the same brand. Read the actual approved variant range and installation limits. Authenticity of the document does not establish that this model and connection are within its scope.
Ask the issuer to resolve that exact model-and-joint difference and request the applicable annex or decision, if any. Do not overwrite the model in a scanned approval or infer coverage solely from a shared catalogue family. If the supplied configuration remains unconfirmed, retain that limitation in purchasing and preparation records; a consultant cannot extend the issued approval.
Body appointment and product-document status are separate checks
The Ministry’s information on appointed construction-product bodies helps check the relevant role and product scope. It is not itself a finding that a particular product approval is authentic, active or covers the delivery. Check actual appointment separately from the issuing body’s answer about the document. A laboratory accreditation or consultancy registration does not replace either check.
No result in a search, an inaccessible list or an unanswered enquiry does not prove fraud or valid approval. Record what was checked, what primary information was obtained and what remains unresolved. Kayra can organise scope comparison and issuer questions; the issuer provides document clarification and status, while the applicant remains responsible for truthful product information and applicable conformity and marking duties.
