Machine conformity requires more than component documents. Define intended use, safety functions and interactions between machines from the outset.

Does connecting CE-marked machines into a line require further work?
Assess whether shared control and function create an assembly. Feeding, transfer, trapping and coordinated stopping hazards may be absent from individual files. Identify the assembly's responsible manufacturer and conformity route. Component CE marks do not establish assessment of every integrated-system risk.
Do partly completed and ready-to-use machinery have the same declaration?
No. Partly completed machinery may be intended for incorporation and unable to perform its specific application independently. Its declaration and assembly information differ from completed machinery's declaration of conformity. The integrator must assess remaining risks and interfaces. Actual function and delivery conditions matter more than product names.
Is software testing sufficient after adding automation to an old machine?
Control changes may affect sequences, speeds, access and safety functions. Compare risks before and after modification, and verify safety-related functions appropriately. Determine whether new conformity assessment is needed under applicable legislation and technical circumstances. Different modernisations do not necessarily produce the same decision.
Can a warning in the manual replace protective design?
Evaluate safe design and protective measures first. Information about residual risks matters, but is not a general substitute for applicable technical safeguards. Examine actual operation and maintenance. Language, installation, adjustment and maintenance instructions should satisfy the market's requirements.
Can a single custom-built machine be exempt from CE requirements?
Producing one unit does not by itself create a general exemption. Assess the product, placing on the market or into service, and applicable exclusions. Custom design does not remove necessary files, risk assessment and declarations. Separate testing, technical assessment and any third-party stages according to the machine.
Will renewing paperwork solve recurring safety failures?
First control the hazard and identify affected machines. Investigate combined design, component, installation and use factors. Assess corrections, user information and cooperation with authorities. A newly dated document does not repair a technical defect; conformity claims and files need evidence of actual correction.
Share the subject, organisation or product, target market, current evidence and target date. The team can then separate consultancy, official fees, independent evaluation and realistic timing.
