Who grants WaterMark certification and licences?
ABCB administers the WaterMark scheme.
Keep scheme administration and certification distinct
ABCB administers the WaterMark scheme. The competent WMCAB, also called an Approved Certifier, assesses products against an approved specification and performs assigned certification and licensing tasks. A consultant does not obtain those powers by arranging tests or preparing a file.
Identify the actual WMCAB and relevant current scope before commissioning work. Match the licence holder, product models, specification, manufacturing scope and conditions to the supplied product. Laboratory evidence supports assessment but is not the licence itself; an unrelated accreditation is not WaterMark authority.
Responsible preparation and decision
Conditional case: a supplier uses a consultant’s letter as evidence that its range is licensed. Request the actual certification and matching official database entry. Do not describe the letter, a report or an application acknowledgement as an issued WaterMark licence.
Kayra can organize documents and coordinate questions. The manufacturer or licence holder, WMCAB and laboratory retain their assigned duties. Kayra is not presented as a WaterMark issuer, regulator or accredited laboratory; preparation does not guarantee acceptance or a date.
