Verify TSEK: match the official record to the offered product
Use official TSE company and document enquiries, then compare holder, programme, criterion, product scope and status. A genuine certificate for another scope does not certify the offered item.
Start from the document, not just the company name
Obtain a readable complete document and identify the holder, certificate reference, programme, criterion and product/model scope. Use TSE’s official certified-company enquiry, which provides company, reference and status search fields, and document verification where the document’s verification information applies. An application receipt or laboratory report is not the issued TSEK certificate.
Compare the official result and the supplied document without treating a company-name match as coverage of every product sold by that company. Check the actual listed configurations and manufacturing scope relevant to the offer. The verification page displays holder, first issue, validity and status fields; these fields need the actual record, not guesses from a filename or logo.
An authentic document may answer a different question
Conditional example: a supplier provides a genuine TSE document under the same company name, but it covers another product or programme, while the buyer requested TSEK for the offered item under a stated criterion. Keep authenticity and scope separate. Identify the offered model and requested evidence before deciding whether the document answers the purchase requirement.
Ask the supplier for the applicable issued scope and resolve any mismatch with TSE when necessary. Do not rename a TSE, system or service document as TSEK, or infer coverage from similar product names. If a code produces no result, first check the reference and verification route; a missing public result alone is not proof of fraud.
Record the date and unresolved status questions
Retain the search date, document version and exact official result used in the review. Where dates, status or supplied scope appear inconsistent, request clarification from TSE before making a definitive claim about permission to use the mark. Do not assign a universal TSEK expiry period or infer extension from a pending renewal submission.
Kayra can help compare document, official record and offered configuration; TSE owns its record and programme decisions. The applicant or supplier must provide truthful, current scope evidence. A verified TSEK document also leaves separate applicable market-access and product-use duties to be checked; it is not automatic CE evidence or permission for every intended application.
