TSEK renewal and follow-up: check criterion changes and actual certificate conditions
Follow-up concerns the certified scope and continuing product/manufacturing conformity. A changed criterion or pending renewal needs the actual TSE instructions; neither proves automatic extension or automatic invalidity.
Start with the issued scope and current programme instructions
Read the actual certificate and contract, its criterion basis, covered products and manufacturing scope, current status and applicable follow-up instructions. Identify the company’s upcoming obligation from these documents rather than assigning every TSEK product one renewal interval. The dated public mark procedure limits use to the actual scope and requires stopping use after suspension or termination; confirm its current applicable version.
Keep production-control records and changes that may affect the certified product available for the programme’s review. A renewal submission records a request, not its acceptance or an extension of mark permission. If status or validity is unclear, ask TSE before continuing a claim that the offered product remains certified.
A later criterion revision needs a specific transition answer
Conditional example: the company holds a document based on one accepted criterion revision and learns that a later revision adds a requirement. Identify the actual change and TSE’s instructions for the existing certificate. Do not assume that publication alone invalidates every older document, or that the existing report automatically proves the new requirement.
Compare the revised requirement with product construction, reports and manufacturing controls, then ask TSE which evidence and programme transaction are needed. Preserve the old issued basis and the genuine new records. An internal note saying “updated to latest criterion” cannot replace missing technical evidence or the issuer’s transition decision.
Separate evidence readiness from the continuation decision
For a production change during follow-up, identify the model, affected requirement and evidence before applying an old result to the changed product. Record what was notified, the answer received and the configuration in manufacture. A test result answers its stated sample and method; it does not alone determine the certificate’s continued scope.
The applicant maintains real controls and supplies accurate changes; TSE decides programme acceptance and certificate status. Kayra can organise the revision/change comparison and agreed preparation. Plan records, sample availability and corrective milestones without promising a renewal date, a fixed retest package or permission to use the mark while a decision remains unresolved.
