Choosing TSE product preparation support: define what the contract delivers
Compare product scope, usable deliverables and external tasks; a preparation contract cannot guarantee TSE acceptance or cover unidentified models and factories.
Compare offers against one product brief
Give each prospective preparer the same model list, manufacturing sites, intended TSE standard and available evidence. Ask the provider to identify unresolved scope questions instead of accepting a price based only on the phrase “TSE certificate”. A firm’s management-system certificate is not proof that it can issue your product certificate.
Request named preparation outputs: for example, an agreed requirement-to-evidence map, a model/site register and a list of missing records with responsible persons. Check who will perform laboratory or other external work and who obtains TSE’s acceptance where required. Do not infer a laboratory scope or a TSE appointment from the provider’s advertising.
“All models and branches” is not a defined deliverable
Conditional example: an offer promises all models and unlimited branches, while the supplied brief identifies three models from one factory. A fourth model under another brand is introduced later. Require an explicit comparison of its construction, evidence and manufacturing location; the original wording does not establish that TSE will include the new item.
Before signing, identify which three models and factory the preparation covers, what happens when configuration changes and how additional work is agreed. A model register makes the contracted scope reviewable. A broad promise without this register should not be used to price or advertise an issued certificate’s scope.
Accept preparation outputs without inventing certification authority
Separate preparation charges from laboratory work, TSE programme charges and the applicant’s production changes. Specify who supplies missing information, who can submit for the company through the actual portal arrangement and what evidence closes each preparation task. Payment or a submitted application is not evidence of a positive certification decision.
Kayra can undertake defined scope/evidence preparation and coordination under contract. The applicant remains responsible for truthful information and implementation; TSE decides within its programme. Read certificate and current mark-use conditions before using a result commercially. No preparer can promise inclusion of unknown models, sites or a guaranteed decision date.
