TSE HYB: Service Locations, Branches and Authorised Service Status
The Service Qualification Certificate concerns a defined service at a defined location. Its purpose differs from product certification, brand service authorisation and operating permits.
Questions for your situation
Does HYB mean that every product we sell is TSE certified?
No. Service-location competence and product conformity are different assessments. Read the certificate's service and address scope. Any claim that a product is TSE certified needs separate verification of its product certificate and coverage. Do not use HYB as evidence of product conformity.
Does one branch's HYB certificate cover other branches?
Check the certified address and services. Other branches may have different staff, equipment, premises and records. TSE determines branch inclusion or separate application under the applicable service criteria. A shared trading name does not show that every location has been assessed.
Is HYB the same as being a brand's authorised service provider?
No. Brand authorisation agreements and TSE service qualification have different foundations. Where the service criteria require a brand relationship, particular personnel or equipment, demonstrate those separately. Neither document should be presented as authorising services outside its actual scope.
How should outsourced work be described in an application?
Identify the outsourced service stages, who controls them and responsibility towards customers. Confirm with TSE whether the applicable criteria permit the arrangement. Maintain traceable agreements and results. Do not declare facilities as available on your premises when they are not.
Can address or responsible-person changes wait until renewal?
Assess effects on certificate conditions and follow TSE notification and update procedures. Show continued equipment, premises and personnel suitability at the new location. An unexpired certificate does not remove the need to report significant changes.
Which preparations affect application time?
Identify the correct service standard or criteria first. Prepare location, activity, equipment, personnel and service records accordingly. Site deficiencies or testing may affect timing. Obtain current fees and processing information from TSE, distinguishing preparation support from TSE's certification work.
Share the subject, organisation or product, target market, current evidence and target date. The team can then separate consultancy, official fees, independent evaluation and realistic timing.
