FPC and AVCP systems: map the product, task and required evidence
Assessment-system numbers allocate tasks; they are not product-quality grades. Check the actual product reference and CPR transition before selecting evidence or a body.
Read a system number as a division of tasks
Factory production control is the manufacturer’s documented continuing internal control. Under the applicable legacy AVCP system 2+, a notified FPC certification body performs its assigned initial and continuing control-assessment tasks. Its FPC certificate is not the manufacturer’s declaration and does not prove every individual performance value.
Create a task map for performance assessment, production control, any required sampling and third-party work. State the responsible party, evidence and actual decision at each step. A laboratory report, FPC certificate and product declaration have different functions; a body number beside CE does not turn them into interchangeable documents.
One factory can need different evidence for different products
Conditional example: a manufacturer supplies aggregates and mortar from one site and proposes the same FPC certificate and test pack for both. Identify each product’s intended use, cited specification, assessment system and certificate scope. Shared premises or control staff do not establish identical tasks across the two product families.
Map usable records separately: raw-material identity, production controls, relevant test results and any assigned body assessment. Keep missing tasks explicit instead of copying a system number from the first product. This example does not assign a universal system to aggregates or mortar; the actual cited references must decide the task allocation.
Check the current AVCP-to-AVS transition for the family
The new CPR assessment and verification systems retain similar concepts but change some tasks. The Commission explains that new system 3 includes notified-body product-type confirmation, while system 3+ concerns relevant environmental-performance inputs. Do not confuse that environmental task with an FPC certificate or apply a new system solely because it has a familiar number.
Determine whether the product family still uses the applicable earlier cited-standard route or has migrated to a new applicable specification and task allocation. Record the source and version used. Kayra can organise this evidence map; manufacturers and legally assigned bodies keep their own obligations and decisions. No product-specific appointment or system choice is confirmed here.
