FPC assessment: demonstrate controls and verify corrective work
Connect written factory controls to actual operations and records. Distinguish an assessment finding, implemented correction and the body’s acceptance decision.
Define what the assigned assessment actually covers
Identify the product specification, factory operations and applicable system before planning the assessment. For the applicable legacy System 2+ route, the body inspects and evaluates factory production control; that task is not certification of each product or every declared value. Check the current legal route and the body’s designated scope rather than using another factory’s audit plan.
Prepare records that connect stated controls to actual equipment, responsible staff, materials and production. Explain how checks, acceptance and changes work at the site. A procedure describes intended operation; the assessor needs relevant evidence of what actually happens. Consultant preparation is separate from the body’s inspection and decision.
Changing a label does not separate a rejected lot
Conditional example: the factory’s control procedure requires rejected aggregate to be separated, but a rejected lot is tipped into approved stock. A rewritten stock label does not undo that mixing. Identify the affected quantity and deliveries, the actual disposition and the performance evidence still needed under the relevant requirements.
Investigate why the stated control failed, record actual containment and implement a suitable change with responsible people. Check whether the revised control works in real operation and retain the evidence. Do not manufacture a segregation record, erase the rejected result or describe already-dispatched production as physically held at the factory.
Close findings with evidence of completed actions
Read each finding against the applicable requirement and actual scope. Separate immediate correction, investigation, changed control and verification evidence. An action plan or a revised paragraph shows proposed work; it does not prove the action was performed. Agree any evidence questions with the body instead of deciding acceptance on its behalf.
Kayra can organise the finding-to-evidence register and responses. The manufacturer performs the corrective work and remains responsible for production and declarations; the body determines acceptance within its assigned tasks. Keep unresolved issues and subsequent surveillance duties visible. No guaranteed pass, fixed inspection frequency or automatic certificate date is claimed.
