Choosing FPC preparation and assessment services
Compare product-specific preparation outputs and identify the independent assessment task. A generic manual or certificate promise does not establish effective factory control.
Compare the actual tasks in each offer
Ask whether the offer covers route clarification, product-to-control mapping, genuine record review, gap actions and preparation responses. Specify the product range, factories, operations and available evidence. A service called “FPC certification” may combine different tasks; identify who will actually perform each task and who has the assigned decision.
Distinguish consultant preparation, the manufacturer’s implementation, laboratory tests and a designated body’s assessment. A company’s commercial name, unrelated ISO certificate or use of another body’s logo does not identify the required issuer scope. Assess the real task and evidence, not a general promise to obtain a certificate.
A mortar manual does not describe a precast component factory
Conditional example: a service offers a copied mortar-control manual to a manufacturer of reinforced precast components. Compare the actual product specification and processes: moulds, reinforcement, production configuration and curing may require controls not described by the copied file. Determine the applicable controls and real evidence; changing the cover and company name cannot make the manual product-specific.
Request a mapped set of preparation outputs that explains requirements, actual responsibilities, usable records and unresolved controls. Retain the manufacturer’s original records and disclose gaps. Do not accept fabricated production entries or a consultant’s signature as proof that the manufacturer has implemented the missing work.
Agree deliverables and retain decision boundaries
Kayra can coordinate the agreed scope review, evidence register, preparation plan and responses. Define the deliverables, their acceptance basis, excluded work and information the manufacturer must supply. Clarify changes to product range or factory before assuming they are included in a previous offer.
The manufacturer operates production control and fulfils the applicable declaration and CE duties. A designated body retains its assigned assessment and certification decision; a laboratory reports its actual tests. Preparation-service selection does not authenticate an individual certificate or verify a named provider’s designation, and no body decision or fixed completion date is guaranteed.
