Verify GAR records: authenticity, model scope and gas conditions
Check complete issued records against the supplied gas product without confusing notification with product approval.
Authenticity and applicable coverage are separate
Obtain the complete issued record, annexes, supplements, manufacturer/model identification, gas/category/pressure conditions and certificate status. Verify the issuer through independently identified channels. A genuine type certificate can still concern another gas variant or design; a matching number alone does not establish applicability.
Official notification information describes a body’s authorised GAR tasks, not a universal registry of every compliant appliance. Compare those tasks with the requested assessment. Missing public search results alone do not prove fraud or validity; ask the actual issuer and responsible manufacturer while keeping unanswered questions visible.
Hypothetical case: gas variant absent from certificate annexes
A buyer receives a heater labelled for one gas/pressure combination but only a certificate cover page referring to a different version. The seller supplies no annex or supplement. Compare the exact plate, model/BOM, declaration, installation instructions and complete issued conditions, then request the missing coverage explanation through independently verified contacts.
Distinguish whether the document is authentic from whether the supplied heater is covered. Check any relevant change approval and selected production-conformity evidence; a type document alone cannot show every manufactured unit follows the assessed configuration. Do not invent a counterfeit finding or a successful acceptance result.
Resolve the purchasing decision with actual evidence
EU-type certificates have stated validity conditions and a maximum ten-year validity from issue under the cited GAR procedure; actual expiry, suspension or restriction must be checked. Manufacturer record retention after market placement is a different duty. Neither date proves local gas compatibility or installation suitability.
Kayra can assemble the comparison and requests, but cannot issue the body’s confirmation or the authority’s ruling. The next action is obtaining complete variant/condition records and a supported manufacturer response before the buyer accepts the offered scope; installation checks remain independently necessary.
